Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. She has received various honors, including two Golden Globe Awards as well as 16 NAACP Image Awards. In the last decade she has been working on film and television. The actress has won several awards, among them 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt and Uncle in New York New York. The mother of Bassett had divorced from her father at around five. She and her younger sister later went to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school and watched John Steinbeck's production Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she decided to become an actress. After graduating from Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned an undergraduate degree with a major in African American Studies, she continued to pursue an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama awarded the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in 1980. The school she attended was the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
